About Course

本直播课程针对的是初中二年级学生，选用的是人民教育出版社《英语八年级（下）》教材，涵盖了发音、词汇、听力、表达等各方面的强化练习，通过12个课时的精细化学习安排，从英语的基本词句段，到美式英语文化逐步渗透，为学生培养语言学习的意识和兴趣，提升读写听说能力。

This course is geared towards eighth graders using China's Secondary English G8-8A textbook published by People's Education Press Ltd., which comprises of pronunciations, vocabularies, listening exercises, speaking exercises, etc., reinforcing English learning through 33 lecture hours with detailed lesson planning, from English basic phrases to American culture immersion lessons in order to encourage students' language learning awareness and interest, thus improving reading, writing, listening, and conversational skills.

学会469个英语单词的发音。
学会常用句式在不同情境下的美式发音表达，以及在不同情绪时的发音语气。
能在9种话题下进行会话，并灵活运用于生活情境中进行简单的交流。
能用英语进行简单的表达和简短对话，如谈论过去的事件、谈论人的特征、讨论个人喜好、谈论未来的打算和预测、描述步骤并完成步骤、发出接受或拒绝邀请、谈论事情的结果等。

To learn the pronunciation of 469 vocabularies.
To learn American pronunciation and intonation for common phrases under different situations and different moods.
To converse under 9 different topics and to be able to interact with others and apply in daily life.
To be able to express and communicate in English, such as talking about past events, about people's features, about personal preferences, about future plans and predictions, providing step-by-step instructions and completing the steps, accepting or declining invitations, talking about results, etc.

Requirement

1) You will need either a smartphone with Internet connection and with "QSkyABC" App installed or a computer with Internet connection to log onto "http://www.qskyabc.com/"
2) You will need parental supervision to watch the lectures and to interact with the teachers.
3) You will need to follow teacher's lecture schedule and consistently participate in lectures every week.
4) During lecture time, you will need to follow along with the teacher, speak, participate, and practice accordingly.

Hi! I'm an English teacher with seven years of experience, and I love helping people improve their language skills. It doesn't matter how old or young you are—I enjoy working with children, young people, and adults. For all of my students I desire to foster creativity, confidence, and a true joy in learning. Additionally, I love helping people to express themselves in writing. Grammar skills, business writing, and creative skills are all necessary in today's world. I include story-writing and poetry activities whenever possible.
In the past, I taught TESOL English classes for adults and children in Puerto Rico. I also worked as a writing tutor at the college and middle-school level. Currently, in addition to teaching with English Services USA, I coach private students in English, writing, and Spanish. 
I have lived in many different places in my life: Vermont, Chicago, Puerto Rico, and now Georgia. Currently I live with my husband Antonio near Atlanta, Georgia. Whenever possible, we like traveling and experiencing new places and cultures. In my free time, I also enjoy hiking with Antonio, writing stories, reading great books, and playing board games with my sisters and friends.
